Dom Bueno Distillery

Located 14km from the city center and surrounded by the Serra do Tabuleiro State Park, the space Dom Bueno Distillery It's more than just an artisanal cachaça producer: it's the expression of handcrafted work, guided by agroecology, tradition, and a deep respect for nature. Produced from fresh sugarcane juice, the cachaça follows a rigorous process involving hygiene, care, and traditional techniques—from extraction and fermentation to aging in oak barrels, guaranteeing a refined and authentic flavor.

The still uses only the "heart" of the distillation, the most refined part of the process. The entire production cycle is conducted with sustainable practices, avoiding waste and prioritizing the reuse of byproducts, reinforcing the property's commitment to the environment.

Leading the production is José Abrilino Bueno Pires, who found a new purpose in Paulo Lopes' rural life. Since 1992, he has dedicated himself to agroecology as a philosophy of life and welcomes visitors with the warmth of someone who loves what they do. During the visit, April It explains each stage of production — from planting to distillation — and presents the distillery facilities, sharing stories and interesting facts that bring the visitor closer to the world of artisanal cachaça.
