Paulo Lopes Dunes

To the Paulo Lopes Dunes can be accessed by village of Gamboa Beach, in the neighboring municipality of Garopaba. The location is one of the most unique settings in the region, with a landscape that combines sea, river, and mountains. 

The dune field is small and sheltered from the south wind, with low dunes that spread between field areas and the Rio da Madre, with the Serra do Tabuleiro. The contrast of the sand's colors — more yellowish closer to the sea and whiter inland. — creates a different look with each step, forming patterns and reliefs that change with the wind. 

Access can be made by beach,From there, it's possible to enjoy a wide view of... Guarda do Embaú Beach, from the mouth of the Madre River and Gamboa Beach, in the neighboring municipality of Garopaba.
